The newest addition to the high-speed TGV rail line, the TGV Est line zips through 20 destinations in France and to 10 destinations in Germany, Switzerland, and Luxembourg. The train is the speediest cutting travel times by one-third to one-half and providing faster rail connections from Paris east through the Champagne, Lorraine, and Alsace regions of France, serving cities such as Reims, Nancy, Metz, and Strasbourg. In addition to being fast, the trains feature interiors designed by Christian Lacroix with bright orange and purple upholstery, more spacious reclining seats, and special family areas with game board tables.
