Home to both the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, the Eighth Arrondissement is one of the city's busiest and most famous districts. Situated on the Right Bank, the neighborhood is known for its many landmarks, which also include the Élysée Palace, the official residence of the French president. The district's Triangle d'Or (Golden Triangle) is home to high-end fashion boutiques, including the headquarters of Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton. Also noteworthy are the semipublic Parc Monceau; the Neoclassical Madeleine Church; and the Place de la Concorde, Paris's largest public square.
Visit the Arc de Triomphe just before dusk; the line is shorter then, and the 360-degree view from the top is even more impressive at sunset.
