Outside Sydney

Hyams Beach

Booderee Ave.
Hyams Beach, New South Wales, Australia

According to Guinness World Records, this beach on the shores of Jervis Bay has the whitest sand in the world. Its natural beauty is further enhanced by national parks to the north and botanic gardens to the south, giving the beach an unspoiled feel. Along the beachfront, secluded coves provide opportunities to see whales, dolphins, seals, and penguins in the impressively clear water, either from the comfort of land or while snorkeling under water. Since the beach rarely receives any ocean swells, it’s particularly suitable for families. But, keep in mind that the beach does not have any lifeguards.
