Sir Cricket's Fish & Chips
Despite its modest appearance and cash-only policy, this tiny hole-in-the-wall draws huge crowds with its menu of fresh, cooked-to-order seafood. The interior contains little more than a large yellow menu board, three or four tables, and light wood chairs with hand-painted seats, each depicting a different scene of life in Orleans. There’s also a single picnic table outside, and across the street, a grassy patch with sweeping views of Nauset Inlet. Incorporating ingredients from the adjacent fish market, the house specialties include classic clam chowder, fried clams, lobster rolls, and fish-and-chips, all served in generous portions.
