The Tonga Room and Hurricane Bar is a tiki bar with a theatrical atmosphere in the historic Fairmont Hotel atop Nob Hill. Known for their festive mai tais, the Tonga experience includes live entertainment, dancing around the lagoon (former hotel pool) and a special-effects thunder and lightning storm. Try a lava bowl (a mix of rums and fruit juices) for two or four while dining on Pacific Rim cuisine. House specialties include the Pangai Island prix fixe dinner with appetizer, entree of beef, chicken or seafood and dessert, Tonga Hot Pot, and a flaming coconut cream volcano pie.
