Nicoya Peninsula
Lola's, Costa Rica
Named after its now-deceased mascot, an 800 pound pink pig, Lola’s beach café continues to delight visitors with its idyllic scene at Playa Avellanas. Surfers, locals, and tourists lounge under palm trees in the high-backed wood chairs, hammocks, and sand while sipping cocktails, munching bar snacks, and watching surfers ride the crashing waves. Upstairs in the lounge, a menu of Asian appetizers and local fare like ultra-thin vegetarian pizzas, chicken satay, and seared ahi tuna with sun-dried tomato and olive tapenade is available.
