New York City
Yoya is a retail store for children's fashion and design that bills itself "a neighborhood store with international appeal." From printed t-shirts and stylized raincoats to fabric necklaces and ballet shoes, the West Village store sells infant and toddler clothing and accessories that look like they came straight from a fashion runway. They also offer nursery furniture, home decor and handmade toys and gifts. Two young mothers, Cristina Villegas-Boujnah and Gena Gerbier, opened the store in 2004 "to create a modern and innovative environment in children’s retail."
