Owned by Jody Williams and Michael Bull, Gottino is, in Williams' own words, a “gastroteca,” or Italian gastropub. Located in New York City’s West Village, Gottino serves small plates alongside glasses of red and white wine (all from Italy, of course). The centerpiece of the dining room is the large, marble bar, but the space also features an ornate ceiling and walls lined with wine bottles. Customers can sample everything from chicken liver pâté to blood orange salad, and no visit is complete without tasting the gelato from Capogiro in Philadelphia.

Insider Tip:

Arrive early: Crowds increase after 6 p.m., making seating scarce.
