Mansfield Hotel

12 W. 44th St.
Midtown West
New York, NY, 10036, United States
TEL: (212) 277-8700

Built in 1903, the Mansfield Hotel is located just a few blocks from Times Square and was the home of reputed Great Gatsby inspiration Max von Gerlach.  The 2006 renovation retained the old elegance but replaced the old rabbit-eared TVs and alarm clocks with flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations, free Wi-Fi, Aveda toiletries and a laptop safe. The fitness center is also new and includes state-of-the-art treadmills, elipticals, bicyles and a loft for yoga and meditation. Like a gentleman’s study, the M Bar is outfitted with mahogany shelves, leather-bound books, and Beaux Arts lighting under a glass dome.

Room to Book:

For extra space, book the Jennings Apartment. This one-room suite has a decorative fireplace, ebony stained hardwood floors, and French doors designed by artist Denise Amses.

Insider Tip:

The Mansfield Hotel is pet-friendly but you’ll need to sign a waiver and pay a deposit in case of damage
