Brooklyn, NY, 11201, United States
TEL: (718) 254-9601
Dubbed by Rolling Stone as “the guiding light in New York’s avant-rock scene,” St. Anne's Warehouse has commissioned, produced, and presented innovative performances that have blended the rock-n-roll zeitgeist with theater for more than three decades. The warehouse is actually a 14,000-square-foot, former spice-milling factory in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood, and the institution's alumni include Lou Reed, Marianne Faithfull, and the Coen brothers. Continuing its support of puppetry, St. Ann’s showcases new puppet-based works during its Labapalooza festival each spring. Before and after each performance, the Rice Bar in the lobby serves food and drinks, such as sake and grilled eggplant maki.
