New York Film Festival

70 Lincoln Center Plz.
New York, NY, 10023, United States
TEL: (212) 875-5625

No categories, no competition—the focus is on the films at the New York Film Festival, hosted at the Lincoln Center. Each year, the festival introduces about 28 feature films and 12 short films, from well-known directors to up-and-comers, from domestic to international to avant-garde. Other activities include the red-carpet opening night, panel discussions and directors' dialogues. Previous festivals have included movies such as David Fincher's The Social Network and highly regarded foreign films such as Michael Haneke's The White Ribbon. With over three days of screenings, no one needs to argue about which movie to select.

Insider Tip:

The festival is hosted by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, one of the twelve resident organizations of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
