New York City
Blue Ribbon Downing Street Bar
Established in 2007 by brothers and restaurateurs Bruce and Eric Bromberg, this tiny wine bar is part of New York’s celebrated Blue Ribbon restaurant group. Located across from the Brombergs’ Blue Ribbon Bakery in the West Village, the bar features unexpected cocktails and a 250-bottle wine list with selections ranging in price from $27 to $1,266 (many of which are also available by the glass). In addition to drinks, the bar offers creative small plates like the Manchego and Mexican honey toast. The interior is dark and intimate, with a white marble bar, exposed light bulbs, and warm wood paneling.
The bar is only a three-minute walk from Film Forum, making it ideal for a post-movie nightcap.
