New Orleans loves its own, and designer Faget, a Creole girl from downtown NOLA, is no exception. She's been making great jewelry since the late 1960s, and now has five outlets across town that sell her sleek, inspired designs. She works mainly in gold and silver, with stylish Fleur-de-Lis motifs as well as elemental and architectural influences. Faget has enormous goodwill in the city, having raised huge amounts of money in the aftermath of both Hurricane Katrina and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, meaning that buying one of her wonderful pieces doesn't come with any residual guilt.
