Rue de la Course

3121 Magazine St.
New Orleans, LA, 70115, United States
TEL: (504) 899-0242

This energetic café with high ceilings, bright sunlight, quiet nooks, and a staff of young hipsters is constantly filled by students from nearby universities, as well as longtime locals. While it’s a prime spot for people watching, the much-lauded coffee plays a significant part in converting customers into regulars. Known as simply "Rue" by locals, it stands as one of the few places in the New Orleans that entices people to cross the city to for soups, sandwiches and pastries, or simply to nurse a café latte over the daily paper.

Insider Tip:

It’s best to plan your visit to Rue on a hot day, as it’s the iced mocha that really wins hearts here.
