Husband and wife chef-owners Slade Rushing and Allison Vines-Rushing combine the cuisines of Mississippi and Louisiana to create contemporary Southern cuisine with French touches at their Central Business District restaurant, MiLa. Fresh, local ingredients are a hallmark in such dishes as sweet tea brined rotisserie duck, crispy skinned red snapper, and sweet potato pappardelle with shiitake mushrooms. Special menus include a three-course prix fix lunch, and seasonal tasting for the entire table. Located in the Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel, the interior has lanterns suspended from a glowing blue ceiling, adding to the warmth of the wood floor and deep-blue walls.
Although the hotel has valet parking, there are several garages within a few blocks of the restaurant.
