Despite its small size, Nevis is packed with tourist-friendly activities. At the top of every list of things to do in Nevis is a day spent at one its white sand beaches. Pinney Beach and Newcastle Beach are two of the most popular destinations for sun worshippers. Pick a spot in the sand or try your hand at surfing, snorkeling and more. Inland, outdoor sports such as cricket, soccer, golf and mountain biking are all popular with locals and travelers alike. Visitors looking for what to do in Nevis can spend an afternoon at the Nevis Turf and Jockey Club’s monthly horseracing event.

Culture lovers will find plenty of things to do in Nevis’ capital city, Charlestown. Here, visitors can browse through local boutiques and its bustling open-air market. They can also grab a taste of local culture at the Museum of Nevis History with artifacts dating back to its colonial era. Another local landmark and a highlight of what to do in Nevis is the Fig Tree Church, where Horatio Nelson was married in 1787 and many of the gravestones in its cemetery date back even further.
