The Bluebird Cafe
The Bluebird has long been one of the hottest tickets in town, but its popularity has increased tenfold since becoming a regular on ABC's drama Nashville. Despite the live music joint's crowd appeal, the interior has remained relatively unchanged since it debuted in 1985. There are still just 90 seats—though a handful of those are already allotted to the performers' guests—per show each night, and the only real way to land a coveted spot is to be poised and ready at your computer the minute the tickets go on sale. Many of country's top acts, from Garth Brooks to Taylor Swift, have been discovered by music execs at the Bluebird, and the regular singer-songwriter in-the-rounds—as well as open mic nights—expose visitors to a bevy of top talent across genres.
