Mas Tacos Por Favor
This food truck-turned-brick and mortar is one of those places that not only lives up to its hype, but exceeds expectations. Though it occupies a no-frills building in East Nashville's Greenwood neighborhood, what Mas Tacos lacks in exterior charm, it makes up for with a rustic hodgepodge of an interior paired with fast, reliable food that delights the taste buds every time. The chicken tortilla soup is to die for, though you can't go wrong with a sampling of the $3 tacos, like pickled cactus and chorizo or sweet potato and quinoa, and a side of plantains and black beans. The aqua frescas, with flavors such as pineapple cilantro or hibiscus, are must-try additions to any order. Note: Mas Tacos only accepts cash (though there's an ATM in the back), and the space is very cozy, so avoid going during peak lunch hours if you want to grab a table.
