Things to do in Nashville

There’s no shortage of great things to do in Nashville. Whether you’re a music super fan or history buff, the city is teeming with unforgettable experiences. Those looking to immerse themselves in Nashville’s music scene should head down to Music Row, which is located just southwest of the downtown area. It's home to recording studios and offices for both major labels and independent record companies. The area is also home to the Country Music Hall of Fame, which has inducted country music greats like George Strait, The Everly Brothers and Tennessee native Dolly Parton in recent years. To listen to local musicians, head to venues like the more than 30-year-old Bluebird Cafe, an intimate 90-seat venue where many a famous musician has performed, or The Listening Room which is pretty much guaranteed to have a great concert every night of the week. And if you’re looking for things to do in Nashville with a historic slant, be sure to visit the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, home to a massive collection of American and British art, and the Belle Meade Plantation, which features dozens of colonial outbuildings and an on-site winery.
