As part of the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, the Rudd Center provides a variety of wine-related courses and programs for both professionals and casual oenophiles. Classes are held in two manor-like tasting theaters designed with stone walls, tiered seating, and state-of-the-art equipment, including specially crafted glassware and individual light boxes to help students observe the color, consistency, and clarity of each wine. In addition to long-term certification and professional courses, the Rudd Center offers several short-term classes that include lectures by the institute’s wine experts and tastings of selections from the 4,500-bottle wine cellar.
