After 22 years of harvesting grapes in Carneros, Rene and Veronica di Rosa transformed their winery into a 250-acre, indoor-outdoor museum dedicated to Bay Area artists. Today, approximately 2,000 works by more than 800 artists are displayed in three galleries as well as on the surrounding estate, which includes the old vineyards, a manmade lake, a sculpture meadow, and a free-roaming group of peacocks. The lakefront Gatehouse Gallery welcomes guests without reservations, but the main gallery, the century-old stone winery (formerly the di Rosa residence), and much of the outdoor exhibit space are accessible by guided tour only.
