Vanessa Noel Hotel Green

While being “Green” is a new trend, this historic district hotel takes environmental consciousness to heart. Designer Vanessa Noel is known for footwear, thus the shoe-named rooms like Stiletto, Flip Flop, and Sling Back. Eight rooms and one suite make up Noel’s second Nantucket hotel; this one opened in 2006. Earth-consciousness influences details throughout the modern interior, from milk-based paint to chairs made of cardboard and organic bed coverings. The shower curtains are hemp, and the hotel is cleaned with no-chemical and hypoallergenic products.
