Hotels in Mustique
When you consider its small size, it’s not surprising that there are not many hotels in Mustique – in fact, there are only two. However, what Mustique lacks in hotel quantity it more than makes up for in quality.
The 20-room Cotton Club often hosts the uber-rich and famous, but manages to retain a laid back atmosphere despite its clientele. But don’t confuse casual with shabby, this recently renovated resort boasts access to two beaches and plunge pools in the suites. The other option for a hotel in Mustique is the five-room Firefly property on the island’s East Coast. This boutique hotel offers guests all-in-exclusive service with thoughtful extras like fully loaded iPods and sarongs in each room.
Beach rentals provide jet setters with even more exclusive accommodation options to Mustique hotels. Mick Jagger’s Stargroves retreat and the 10-bedroom Yemanja are just two of the island’s most luxurious residences.
Filled with family photos and personal mementos from his legendary career, Mick Jagger's Japanese-style beachfront retreat has six bedrooms, a pool and Jacuzzi, a koi pond, a Jeep, and a staff of six who cater to guests.
The 10-bedroom Yemanja overlooks two bays and has sprawling gardens surrounding two boulder-fringed pools and a waterfall.
This 20-room hotel on the private island of Mustique is always booked with boldface names, yet it retains a refreshingly laid-back vibe. At the Cotton House, casual elegance reigns; the interior is filled with loads of comfortable white-upholstered furniture, dark woods, and flowing curtains.
Two-bedroom Balinese-style villa surrounded by tropical jungle, overlooking the water.
The five-room hotel is one of two hotels on the entire island.
One of the first Messel houses, and one of the least expensive on the island, the renatal house is a charming, if faded, architectural gem, with sweeping views from the back terrace over the swimming pool and Endeavor Bay to the islands of Canouan and Bequia beyond.
