Wooden elephants and stone Buddhas announce the restaurant’s upscale Thai theme (though the menu is a mix of Thai dishes and sushi) with typical Munich extravagance. The food lures even locals out to the airport, and Mangostin is a favorite place for a farewell meal before guests go through security. Prices are steep, however: pad thai goes for $22, and it’s largely uphill from there.
