Weinbar Rutz

8 Chausseestrasse
Berlin, 10115, Germany
TEL: 49 30 2462-8760

A long glass wall displaying hundreds of wine bottles from around the world—which you pass on the way to the second-floor dining room—makes a fitting entrance to this top-notch wine bar and restaurant. Serious food-and-wine enthusiasts gather in the amber-lit, sleek-lined space and linger for hours indulging in the sensual experiences dished up here—including more than 1,000 international wine labels (with some exceptional vintages from Germany and Austria) paired with the culinary artistry of Michelin-starred chef Marco Müller. Müller’s dishes (which can be ordered à la carte or in four- or five-course tasting menus) change frequently, but if you’re lucky, they might include confit of young salmon with avruga caviar and shallot crème fraîche, or a “full-bodied” soup made with breast of wild pigeon and Périgord truffles.

Insider Tip:

Want to take home a bottle of the wine you’ve sampled with your dinner? Just ask—many of the labels on the list can be purchased in the downstairs bar.
