3333 Butterfly Park Dr., Mission, TX 78572, United States

Over 40 percent of the country’s 700 butterfly species live in or pass through Texas’ Rio Grand Valley. You’ll spot plenty of the beautiful insects as you make your way around this center’s blooming gardens. Also check out the new Visitor’s Pavilion, designed by Wendy Evans Joseph, also the principal architect of the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.
