Minneapolis Riverfront District
Known as the "birthplace of Minneapolis," the Riverfront District is located along the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis. Visitors can take a self-guided tour along the St. Anthony Falls Heritage Trail, centering around the only waterfall on the Mississippi, and the Stone Arch Bridge, a National Civil Engineering Landmark. The Mill City Museum explains how flour sparked the city's growth, and miles of trails take sightseers through tree-lined parks. Guests can finish their day with a movie at the St. Anthony Main Theatre or a live performance at the Guthrie Theater.
