Mill City Farmers’ Market

704 2nd St. S.,
United States,

A scenic spot for a little shopping or a bite, this May-through-October venue occupies the Mill City Museum train shed not far from the Stone Arch Bridge spanning the Mississippi River. Local, sustainable, and organic farmers sell seasonal produce and fresh flowers alongside booths with artisan goods, from homemade honey and jams to organic clothing, beauty products, and art. Live music, the gourmet Chef Shack street food truck, and the assorted farm animals on hand make for a lively Saturday excursion. Bringing its mission full circle, the Mill City Farmers Market became the first zero-waste market in the state by composting or recycling all "waste."
