Joe's Garage

Joe's Garage, an American food joint across the street from Loring Park on Harmon Place, has the gritty design touches you might expect with that name: stainless steel accents, bare cement floors, and exterior brick walls that, in places, look blasted so the dining room windows offer a view of the streetside scene. The extensive rooftop seating area - billed as the "original rooftop since 1996" - is the place to be in nicer weather. Burgers, both beef and pork, are the stars on the menu, but there are plenty of other options like the build-your-own potato bar, jambalaya risotto, or the SWG (strawberries, walnuts, and gorgonzola) salad.
