Barbette not only supports organic, sustainable agriculture, but also the community economy by showcasing local musicians. Dedication to the art scene is further evinced in the decor; oil pastels from Terrence Payne and drawings from Nick Howard adorn the walls, while handmade, stained-glass chandeliers offer low lighting that accents the dark, polished wood paneling. Chef Kevin Kathman has worked with some of the top names in the culinary world, including a stop in Paris, which may explain the presence of French staples like steak frites and steak au poivre on the menu.
