Milan
Forestiera Monforte
Perhaps no other place in Milan makes guests feel more at home than Forestiera Monforte in the fashion district of Piazza San Babila. Situated over the owner’s pharmacy, the two rooms and one suite feel more like a well-to-do friend’s apartment than a bed and breakfast. The decor reflects the boutique culture in the square outside the large windows with a mix of period antiques and designer accents like Philippe Starck chairs, Bisazza mosaic tiles, and color schemes of light crimson, purple, and pearl grey. Guests also have access to a communal kitchen, but only for refreshments.
Room to Book:
If travelling with children, choose the suite, which has a small living room with a comfortable sofa.
Insider Tip:
Despite the double glazing on the windows, the traffic outside can still be loud. A pair of ear plugs might be useful.
