Pam Real Thai Food
Born in Bangkok, chef Pam Panyasiri now brings the flavors of her homeland to Hell’s Kitchen at this no-frills, cash-only café. Despite the simple wooden tables, dreary taupe-colored walls, and Christmas ornaments hanging from the ceiling year-round, patrons still pile in daily for what many consider the best Thai food in the city. The menu showcases affordable, home-style cooking from the southern, central, and northern regions of Thailand, with popular dishes including the crisp duck salad with lime dressing and the traditional pad Thai with peanut, egg, and bean sprouts.
The restaurant is within a 10-minute walk of several theatres, including the Ambassador, Gershwin, and Winter Garden, making it an excellent choice for pre-show dining.
