At Norma’s inside Le Parker Meridian hotel in Midtown, meals start with a shot of fruit smoothie before glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice (with complimentary refills) are offered. From there, customers can choose from a number of dressed-up diner staples like “artychoked” benedict with truffle porcini sauce, flat-as-a-pancake crabcake, and even $1000 lobster frittata with sevruga caviar. Located off to the side of the hotel lobby, the dining room features high ceilings, wood paneling, and port-hole lights reminiscent of a yacht. Thankfully, Central Park is just three blocks for a post-meal walk to help digest Norma’s huge portions.
