Originally founded as the Miami Art Museum, the Pérez Art Museum Miami was rechristened in 2013, when it relocated to a state-of-the-art, Herzog & de Meuron-designed facility overlooking Biscayne Bay. The tri-level museum's collection focuses on international art from the 20th and 21st centuries, with special attention paid to Caribbean, Latin American, and local artists and designers. As part of its goal to engage new audiences with art, PAMM hosts a regular series of events, from all-ages classes to live music-filled happy hours on the Third Thursdays of each month.
