S&S Diner

Map
1757 N.E. 2nd Ave., Miami, FL 33132, United States

In business since 1935 and housed in a 1938 Art Deco building, the S&S is an old-fashioned diner located just north of downtown. As they have since the 30’s, locals flock here for affordable American breakfast fare, served all day, as well as lunchtime sandwiches and salads. Favorites include the French toast, buttered grits, and made-to-order omelettes, all paired with strong coffee. Wednesdays also feature traditional comfort foods such as meatloaf and gravy. Like the menu, the diner’s interior remains largely unchanged; patrons still wait for a spot at the 23-seat counter, surrounded by black-and-white photos of old movie stars.
