Miami is in the midst of a culinary revolution—one that’s being led by top chefs and food truck owners in equal parts. From classic Cuban sandwiches to deconstructed lasagna, this is one melting pot you’ll want to dig into.

The city’s food scene has gained worldwide acclaim for offering unique New World cuisine, also known as “Nuevo Latino” or “Floribbean,” a play on the combination of Caribbean and American culinary styles. But as an international destination, the best restaurants in Miami offer plenty of award-winning international and fusion spots that will satisfy cravings for Chinese, Japanese, French, Middle Eastern, and even Italian cuisine.

Lately, noted chefs have been setting up shop in neighborhoods all over the city. Among the newcomers not to miss is Stephen Starr’s The Continental, located inside the Aloft South Beach.
