At 40 stories high, The Setai rises over South Beach like an opulent obelisk, and is unquestionably the neighborhood's most grown-up hotel. Inside, it's a soothing dose of Asian minimalism in the land of Art Deco (though the hotel does offer a range of Art Deco Suites, which seamlessly blend both styles). Rooms are exceptionally tasteful shrines of Indonesian minimalism, full of teak furniture, and the hotel houses a first-rate spa, two impressive restaurants (The Setai Grill and The Restaurant), a pair of bars (one overlooking the beach, the other set in a tranquil courtyard), and three infinity pools that are each set at different temperatures (75, 85, and 95 degrees), so that every guest can find one that's just right. In 2014, the hotel unveiled The Ocean Suites, a hotel-within-a-hotel in the building's residential tower that takes personalized service to the next level with dedicated concierge and valet teams to see to guests' every need.
