Bass Museum of Art

2121 Park Ave.
Miami Beach, FL, 33139, United States
TEL: (305) 673-7530

Part of the Collins Park Cultural Center, the Bass Museum of Art houses more than 3,000 works from around the world. The museum is located inside a former Art Deco library, with a modern wing and sculpture garden designed by famed Japanese architect Arata Isozaki. Displayed on a rotating basis, the permanent collection includes a wide variety of artwork, from seventh-century tapestries to 20th-century paintings, an ancient Egyptian mummy, and an altarpiece by Sandro Botticelli and Domenico Ghirlandaio. The museum also hosts traveling exhibits, which previously included work by Picasso and Frida Kahlo. Docent-led tours are available by appointment.

Insider Tip:

If you plan to attend the monthly Beats After Sunset event—which includes free drinks and a live DJ—be sure to arrive early, as the museum becomes crowded quickly.
