Hotel Habita
Mexico City, 11560, Mexico
Hotel Habita spurned a renaissance in modern boutique hotels when it opened in the Polanco district in 2000. Even today, Habita’s eerie cube shape and opaque glass walls fascinates the designed-minded international traveler. The breezy minimalist lobby of The Habita is a see-and-be-seen hot spot, especially for those perched at the lobby’s bar. Among its 36 rooms, The Habita offers open floor plans and mostly all-white spaces highlighted by blue hues and unearthly agave plants. The rooftop pool is a relaxing space during the day, but heats up at night as a dance club.
Room to Book:
Although Room 38 is not as big as a junior suite, it has an incomparable view towards the hotel’s huge jacaranda tree, which blooms extravagantly in March and April.
Insider Tip:
Need some Mexico City travel tips? The hotel has a tiny, but well-stocked bookstore full of information about nearby design icons and cultural monuments.
