Mexico City, Mexico
Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX), otherwise known as Mexico City Airport, is located about three miles east of the city center. The airport is serviced by 31 domestic and international airlines and provides flights to more than 100 destinations across the globe. First inaugurated in 1931, the airport now has two terminals connected by the elevated Aerotrén. The airport also contains a multitude of shops and restaurants such as Bistrot Mosaico, which serves contemporary French and Mexican fare. Taxis are plentiful, but the subway system (located next to Terminal 1) is the most economical ride into the city.
Insider Tip:
If you're looking for a sweet treat before your flight, try Casa Ávila's famous turrón (Spanish nougat) ice cream.
