Great design

There are masculine overtones to the 25 rooms designed by acclaimed architecture firm Six Degrees in this converted pub. Black-tiled bathrooms, photographs by late artist Rennie Ellis, who was renowned for capturing the Melbourne rarely seen by tourists, and minimalist furniture all create a calm and relaxed atmosphere. There's a locavore approach throughout the venue, with Milk & Co amenities in the bathroom and craft beverages from nearby breweries in the mini bar. There's still a pub downstairs, which, though renovated, retains an authentic vibe with wood paneling and sports on the big screen. The menu in the restaurant has a British bent—freshly baked pies, Scotch eggs, roast lamb, and treacle tart are all on the menu.
