Mayfair
Bellamy's
off Berkeley Square
London, England, W1J 6LY, United Kingdom
Despite its Mayfair location and relative youth (opened in 2004), Bellamy resembles an old-world Parisian brasserie with hardwood floors, white tablecloths, black leather banquettes, and an adjacent oyster bar. The walls are hung with mismatched mirrors and paintings of French dancers, while a framed photo depicts owner Gavin Rankin meeting Queen Elizabeth when she dined here in 2006. Crafted by executive chef Stéphane Pacoud, Bellamy's signature dishes include scrambled eggs with Périgord truffles, and fillet of sole with oil, lemon, and pommes vapeur (boiled potatoes). The wine list is exclusively French, with more than 20 options available by the glass.
Insider Tip:
The restaurant is within a two-minute walk of designer stores like Stella McCartney, Michael Kors, and Hermès GB, making it a great choice for lunch during an afternoon of shopping.
