This two-storefront art gallery in Mayfair (the second space is a short walk away at 4 New Burlington Place) displays the work of contemporary visual artists working in a variety of visual media, from paint to mixed media to sculpture, even film. Coles represents some of the art world's most-talked-about mid-career and established artists, such as American sculptor-photographer-film artist Matthew Barney, Israeli painter Avner Ben-Gal, and photographer/collagist, Sarah Lucas, one of the leading talents to emerge from the Young British Artists movement of the 1990's.
