Overlooking Florida Bay, Keys Fisheries is a combination seafood market and restaurant located directly on the water. Picnic tables are set up beneath a metal awning decorated with fishing equipment, and additional seating is available upstairs at the open-air bar. After an order is placed at the counter, the staff asks for the customer’s favorite movie, band, or cartoon character, which is then announced when the order is ready. Specialties include the lobster Rueben, stone crab claws, and homemade Key lime pie, although the coconut shrimp is also popular. A separate raw bar serves fresh oysters and sushi.
