La Pizza Fresca Ristorante

31 E. 20th St.,
New York,
United States,

This small Flatiron trattoria is one of just two New York pizzerias serving authentic Neapolitan pies certified by the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana (True Neapolitan Pizza Association). Illuminated only by candlelight and the glow from the wood-fired brick oven, the dining room is decorated with white tablecloths, exposed brick walls, and framed bottle corks, a nod to the restaurant’s award-winning list of 800-plus Italian wines. In addition to popular pizzas like the Monte Bianco (topped with three cheeses, prosciutto, and porcini mushrooms), the menu also includes a tre portate (three courses) section with salads, homemade pastas, and entrées.
