Klaus von Nichtssagend
Spoiler alert: Klaus Von Nichtssagend is not a real person. The name actually translates to “Klaus says nothing” at this petite, 500-square-foot, sky-lit contemporary art gallery on the Lower East Side. With new solo exhibitions of oil paintings, photography, sculpture, and mixed media every five weeks by an emerging artist such as Timothy Hull (often with a guest curator), there is usually something new to see. This also means the gallery regularly hosts receptions, sometimes with accompanying live performances, to add to the experience.
