Grom, New York

Grom is an Italian gelateria devoted to making the best artisanal gelato through the use of top-quality ingredients sourced from around the world. In 2007, New York became the first city with a Grom shop outside of Italy and now has three locations, including one on the Upper West Side. In addition to gelato, Grom serves sorbets, hot chocolate, slushyice and milkshakes. A description of one flavor of the month gives an idea of the devotion to being the best: the cinnamon and white chocolate flavor uses only Sri Lankan "Regina" cinnamon and white chocolate from Domori, an artisinal Italian chocolate maker.
