Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, Peaceful Valley is one of the oldest and largest ranches in Colorado, surrounded by open pastures, towering aspen trees, and the St. Vrain River. Accommodation options include 76 guest rooms, housed in three timber lodges, and 10 private cabins spread across the property. The main wood-paneled rooms have only basic amenities, but the cabins are furnished with stone fireplaces, hot tubs, and balconies with views of the surrounding landscape. Home-cooked meals are served either buffet-style or picnic-style, and seasonal activities range from cross-country skiing to personalized horseback-riding excursions.
