Project No. 8

138 Division St.
New York, NY, 10002, United States
TEL: (212) 925-4271

A fashionista's dream (or just a cool stop-in), this avant-garde Chinatown boutique offers pricy goods all majoring in originality. The sparsely filled space, with white walls and clothing racks made of disused pipes, feels more like a gallery than a store of one-of-a-kind finds. Among its unique offerings, Project No. 8 once hosted a pair of 1950's Romika tennis shoes, which were discovered never worn in the attic of a West Berlin tennis center. Limited-run women's clothing by local and European designers is the boutique's stock and trade, while German fountain pens, fuzzy paperweights, Martin Margiela shoes, and silver rings and necklaces interwoven with mohair are among the other quirky offerings.

Insider Tip:

This is the only New York retailer to sell the coveted Paris label Bless. Look for their popular signature cube leggings, football bags, and knit ponchos.
