The Spanish Kitchen
This West Hollywood Mexican joint is modeled after a colonial Spanish Hacienda. The Spanish Kitchen has Tecate tile, antique wood doors, and period ironworks all transported north from the old country, as well as a fireplace-lit patio. Servers in red-and-black period wear deliver gourmet Mexican cuisine, such as shrimp ceviche, deep-fried quesadillas, and sopa de media luna, a half tortilla, half black-bean soup. Besides the housemade margarita, the cocktail list includes muddled fresh fruit margaritas like honeydew melon, blackberry ginger, and orange pomogranate. On Tuesdays, the restaurant has tacos for just $2 each.
The restaurant has an extensive selection of 100% blue agave tequilas and mezcals, including five from Don Julio.
